The TBAP Unity Academy

25 24 The TBAP Unity Academy has sites based in St Neots and Wisbech, welcoming learners from all over the County of Cambridgeshire and its neighbouring authorities. Our key aim is to provide an educational and therapeutic package working closely with a range of professionals to meet the requirements of our learners’ Educational, Health and Care Plans. St.Neots site can cater for up to 65 learners and in Wisbech there are 30 learners across Key Stages 3 and 4.

During their time with us learners will have access to a comprehensive curriculum which covers all aspects of the National Curriculum, alongside personalised and vocational learning opportunities. Upon entry they will be reviewed by Learning Support Professionals to establish individual plans focusing on Literacy, Reading, Social and Emotional Development and Numeracy Skills. A big focus of our work is the development of these skills, which will enable our learners to leave with the necessary attributes for a successful adult life within society.

Safeguarding Policy

The TBAP Unity Academy has a clear focus on improved behaviour and follows the overarching TBAP Behaviour and Keeping Safe Policies. As such, we have a set of expectations that all children must work within. These are based around safety, respect and learning. When things go well learners are rewarded in various ways. When learners’ behaviour is less than acceptable school staff adopt restorative approaches which aim to repair harm and restore order, so that effective working relationships can continue.

We are an academy where belonging, well-being, growth and achievement are at the core of all we do. These are important to our purpose, procedures and practice. We aim to provide a sense of security so that everyone feels safe, confident and can demonstrate respect for both themselves and others in a caring and nurturing environment. We encourage a sense of responsibility and accountability, with an awareness of fairness and an appreciation of diversity in an atmosphere aimed at realising and developing potential through challenge.
